Intipunku Kachicata Hike Full Day

This wonderful trek begins with the pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 6:00 am, here we will board our private transportation and head towards the district of ollantaytambo, the trip takes approximately 2 hours, upon arrival to ollantaytambo we will make a stop for an energizing breakfast, then get ready and continue with our beautiful tour.

Approximately at 9 in the morning we will begin a challenging but incredible hike uphill for approximately 2 hours to the quarry of CACHICATA, in this place we will find the largest quarry that supplied for the construction of temples and palaces of the Inca town of Ollantaytambo, here we can also observe the (chullpas) or tombs which were built to house mummies, as well as the ramps that the Incas used to transport the stones, then you will have free time to enjoy a box lunch in this beautiful place.

Then, we will continue with the walk for about 1 hour to the door of the sun (Inti Punku) from there you can see the entire sacred valley and the imposing Nevado Veronica, this place is considered a magical and mystical place, so we recommend you to enjoy the most of this incredible place. Finally, we will return to the community of cachicata, about 02 hours of descent where our private transport will be waiting to return to llantaytambo and then to the city of Cusco, where we will culminate our services with the drop off at your hotel.
