Cusco, 3,400 meters above sea level: Hotel pick-up between 7:30 to 7:45 am, then we’ll head to Abra Malaga by bus. We’ll have a panoramic view of the city of Cusco, followed by Chinchero and Ollantaytambo. We’ll pass through impressive landscapes where we can see the snow-capped mountain range, such as Veronica.

This is where our biking adventure begins, through one of the most beautiful landscapes. Along the way, we’ll encounter rugged highland terrain and observe the immensity of the valley until descending to a temperate zone at the edge of the jungle, with a more abundant flora and fauna typical of the jungle. During the descent, we’ll make a short stop for a box lunch and recharge our energy for this wonderful journey.

Santa Maria, 1,280 meters above sea level: Finally, after our bike tour, we’ll arrive in Santa Maria. During the bike ride, we’ll have the support of our vehicle in case of any incidents. In Santa Maria, we’ll have our first night (dinner and breakfast). We’ll arrive in Santa Maria around 4:00 pm.

We’ll encounter the flora and fauna of the area, including medicinal plants, birds, butterflies, snakes, and exotic fruits of the jungle such as mangoes, pineapples, papayas, avocados, and more.

Hidroeléctrica: This is a passing point between Santa Teresa and Aguas Calientes. It is used as a train station by the Peru Rail company to travel to Aguas Calientes.

Aguas Calientes, 2,040 meters above sea level: We continue walking towards our destination, «Aguas Calientes,» where we’ll settle into our accommodation. In the evening, you can take a stroll around the town. We’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo). Machu Picchu, 2,430 meters above sea level: Then, we’ll line up to take one of the first buses to Machu Picchu (first come, first served basis – like a transportation service). The bus takes 25 to 30 minutes to reach the citadel of Machu Picchu (which opens its doors at 6:00 am).

Please make sure to bring your original passport – the same one you used to book your trip – as the park guards will ask for it (you can also get a Machu Picchu stamp on your passport if you like).

Your guide will help you find the perfect spots to appreciate the Machu Picchu Sanctuary (which will immediately become your Facebook profile picture!). We present our Machu Picchu tickets, passport, and enter to start the visit.

Our guide will be waiting to begin our tour of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary and provide a guided tour of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

We’ll visit different archaeological sites in the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, such as the Agricultural Zone, Urban Zone, Temple of the Sun, Royal Residence, Sacred Plaza, Inti Huatana, Sacred Rock, and many more points that will leave you amazed.

At 14:30 pm or 16:12 pm or 19:00 pm, we’ll board our train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy.

    Optional:

    • Huayna Picchu: If you want to add Huayna Picchu to your adventure, with its spectacular views, it must be booked in advance and costs an additional $25 per person. It takes 45 minutes to reach the top and is quite a challenge.
    • Machu Picchu Mountain: Another option is to hike Machu Picchu Mountain, which takes about 90 minutes and is very difficult. The cost is an additional $15 per person. This is probably the most beautiful and spectacular viewpoint, offering breathtaking views.
    • Buffet Lunch: We recommend the MAPI Restaurant ($20.00 additional).
